This is a solid product that cleans the rubber very well. General wheel cleaners or all purpose cleaners do not do near as good of a job on the rubber. You definitely need a designated rubber cleaner in your arsenal if you want clean tires with a solid black finish.
This is my new favorite rubber cleaner. I recommend letting it sit for about a minute before scrubbing it with a tire brush and you should be good to go. It foams well and does an excellent job at leaving the tires nice and black. Pick some up, it’s definitely worth the money.
This is great for cleaning in between spokes and even fits between the brakes since I don’t have huge calipers. The only complaint would be that when I pull the brush out, the water/dirt flings back at me.This also happens when I spray it down with the hose. The bristles are firm enough to scrub away dirt, not so much that it introduces scratches.
This is one of my favorite detailing brushes for wheels, lug nuts, engine bay, and door sills. These are a little pricey, but well worth it.I waited to get one, but wish I would have bought it years ago.Big wheel brushes are clumsy and don’t have the versatility that this does.
The angle on this brush helps get behind the spokes or around tight areas.I assumed I would rarely use this once I got the boars hair wheel brush, but I still use it every time I clean the wheels. It definitely services a very specific purpose and does it very well.
I prefer a 3.5 gallon bucket pretty much as a carrying device.A grit guard also helps keep the tools to sit higher so they are easy to grab. The dirt can also drip off to the bottom instead of sitting in dirty water. Wheels are the dirtiest part of the car so you might as well take an easy step to prevent any dirt from being spread around.
This has a great satin finish and I use it undiluted on my tires.I dilute it for the engine bay or on other plastics. It’s water based and very easy to work with. It definitely has a slight shine to it, but not glossy like a lot of other products.
This is a permanent coating I have on the wheels of my BMW. Gtechniq claims it lasts 1-2 years. I like that it helps prevent the wheels from getting as dirty and when I clean them it’s a bit easier. The application process was easy. Just make sure you clean the wheel before applying the coating. I would recommend picking up a wheel coating if you spend time cleaning your wheels because it makes the maintenance process much easier.
