Taking care of rust:
Given that my Jeep is over 11 years old, it has some signs of rust. Fortunately 99% of the paint and body is in great shape, but underneath is where there are some areas that need to be taken care of. I started with the tow hitch area on the back because it’s easy to get to and you can see it easier.
I picked up some Krylon rust protection paint in flat black. I also have some sand paper and wire drill attachments for larger areas. It’s important to sand down the surface before you apply the protection. The goal is to get it down to bare metal or so that the rust is gone before you paint.
